L
anarkshire Ace and PALS have launched a petition asking the Government to protect the benefits that people with learning disabilities, autism and Asperger's receive.
The petition was signed by Michael McCann MP at the Lanarkshire Ace meeting on Thursday 24th March 2011.
The full text of the petition is:
We urge the Government to maintain and protect the level of benefits that people with learning disabilities, autism and Asperger's receive.
As learning disabilities, autism and Asperger's are lifelong conditions, people who have them require this income to achieve and maintain a reasonable quality of life.
We trust that you will honour your pledge to protect the most vulnerable people in society.
